Dr. Edward Granger
Founder & CEO
Dr. Granger brings over 25 years of technical color and research experience in the fields of graphic arts, optics, infrared, color science, electronics, high speed computing, and image structure to IQ Colour. He has been instrumental in leading a broad range of projects including design and manufacture of infrared systems, optical design and testing, and merit functions for optical specifications. His research has resulted in more than 40 patents and over 80 technical publications.
Dr. Granger is also the President of Ontario Beach Systems, LLC; previously the Melbert B. Cary Jr. Distinguished Professor at RIT School of Printing, Management and Sciences; CTO of Delta E, LLC; CTO of Titian Enterprises, LLC; X-Rite Inc, Corporate Color Scientist for Light Source Computer Images; Principal Scientist at the Eastman Kodak Company; a Research Associate at the RIT, School of Printing Graduate Faculty; and a member of the Adjunct Faculty at RIT, Imaging & Photographic Science.
John P. Sweeney
Vice President, Business Development
John Sweeney joined IQ Colour™ in 2007, bringing over 25 years of printing industry experience. His past roles include; Vice President at ICS, Inc., Director, Color Measurement Systems at Graphics Microsystems, Inc. and Vice President at Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (GATF) in Pittsburgh.
An active advocate and board member dedicated to improving the technical and process standards for Graphic Arts, John currently serves on the IDEAlliance and TAGA Board of Directors, is a member of the SNAP, GRACoL and SWOP committees, and is the Vice President member of the Pressroom and Executive Committee R&E Council of NAPL.
John resides in Pittsburgh, PA. He is a graduate of the Katz School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University.
Michael Jahn
Development and Support
Michael Jahn joined IQ Colour™ in 2008, bringing over 30 years of digital imaging and prepress experience, most notably in Color Management, PDF file creation and PDF/X workflow product development. His past roles include; Director of Prepress Services at World Color, Inc., PDF Evangelist at AGFA, Certified PDF Evangelist at Enfocus, Hexachrome Evangelist at Pantone and as a consultant to ELAN GMK, IoFlex, Magicomm.
An early adopter of using PDF for reliable file exchange in high end prepress workflows, he is recognized internationally as an expert on PDF/X workflows, Michael can be often found answering difficult questions related to Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat and general Print simulation and Color management forums.
Michael resides in Simi Valley, CA. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Champagne-Urbana and is a Photographer and Illustrator, is a fan of Pantone 151 or more recently, Pantone Goe 13-1-6 C - the color of a Cheese Doodle.
Michael Burney
Interim Chief Financial Officer
Michael Burney joins IQ Colour, LLC with over 20 years experience in developing management and financial strategies for international and global manufacturing firms, and start-up companies. He has led and sat on the Board of Directors for electronics and technology manufacturers delivering significant results in business development, staffing, and funding operations. He is currently Vice Chairman, Green Diamond Syndication Ltd. His past roles include; Founder, Chairman, & Chief Executive Officer for Qubic Light Corporation, Chief Executive Officer, Principal Executive, Financial & Accounting Officer for Spatialight, Inc.
Mr. Burney’s skills in financial management, change management, and ability to execute corporate turnaround plans are a great asset to building a solid foundation and business plan for IQ Colour. Michael holds an MBA, Management and Strategy from the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business, Los Angeles, CA and holds three issued U.S. patents and patents in sixteen countries internationally. His past associations include; Alliance of Chief Executive Officers ACEO (2005 – 2007), Turnaround Management Association TMA (2000 – 2001), Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers SPIE (1978-2000) and the Society for Information Display SID (1995-2003).
